Spring Testing is Upon Us!

Below is a testing schedule for the coming weeks. Students will be assessed on Science, Reading/LA, and Math!

To make sure you are putting forth your best effort, try to eat a good breakfast/lunch and get a good night rest! These tests help us evaluate Cardinal Block sections as well as our curriculums!

There will be a quiz on Monday, April 9th over Chapters 1-10 (and vocab)of Holes!

The Championship Round of 
Battle of the Books will be this Wednesday, April 11th!

Friday is a 1:30 Dismissal!

Use the opportunity of the after school help to get caught up on any missing work or redos!

Office/Teacher Announcements:
  • If you want to borrow a Chromebook from the library.  You will need to check them out from a librarian.  You can only check them out for one class period.  The Chromebook must be returned at the end of the block!
  • Star Charts for March and April are in Mrs. McCartney’s room.  Check out the night sky Orion is brilliant.
  • The Washington DC kids are selling Cardinal Bird - "Class of" (put your graduating class year) shirts for a fundraiser. They are $12 for a short sleeve T-shirt. Contact Michael Sorenson, Cody Hall, Collin Brennan, Kyra Kubo, Leah Weber, Shawn Schremmer, Dayton Richardson, or Dawson Dunbar if you are interested.
  • March book orders are here come and get your book orders.

After School Program:
  • If you are in the building after school please be in a teachers classroom or sign in with ASP.  We can't keep you safe if we do not know that you are here.
  • This week’s makerspace activity will Merge Cubes!!!!
  • Your ideas for activities are appreciated!  Please share them with ASP Staff.
  • There is plenty of help in the library after school if you need to work on homework or projects.  PLease let us help you, that is why we are here.

CMS Athletics: 
  • Morning Marathon started on Monday, March 26 and goes through May 17th.  Students, staff, and parents are invited to run on the track from 7:10-7:40 am Monday through Thursdays.  Information/sign up sheets are in the office.
Student Council:   
Student Council elections are approaching.
Officers:
The first round of elections are for Officers...President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary.  Must be in the 6th or 7th grade to run for one of these positions.  

April 6 speeches presented to 7th grade in Band Room during Cardinal Block
April 6 all campaign posters must be taken down by 4:00pm
April 9 Voting for Officers
April 10 Results announces at the end of the day announcements
Representatives:
After we, the student body, has voted for the officers the next round will start.   This will be for class representatives.  Representatives will represent your class on topics concerning your class and may hold class meetings to get your class perspective so they can report back to the Student Council .  
April 13 meeting for students who are interested in running for Representative in Room 114 (Mr. Wollesen’s room)  at 3:25
